ZEYNEP KARAHASAN











Zeynep Karahasan is a contemporary artist and researcher intersecting video, sculpture, performance and sound. Her work questions legibility of collective and individual sensoria. She chooses her materials and research topics for their capacity to hold contradiction, perceptual conundrums, and fracture fixed narratives to reveal what is concealed. Born in Bursa, Turkiye, Zeynep is studying at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago to earn her BFA with a Visual Critical Studies Thesis. She is part of the TOSSAROSE artist collective which she helped found and had group exhibitions including TOSSAROSE First Petal, Metempsychosis, The Day After, and Gudunk! Others exhibitions include: Map Without Territory (IOTO Summer Residency Exhibition).
